Martin Bros. Warehouse Expansion

Martin Bros. added a 60,000-square-foot expansion onto our warehouse facility in Cedar Falls to meet growing business needs. The expansion added more area for dry storage, freezer storage and receiving operations and also created about 12 new warehouse, sales and driver jobs. The expansion brings the total warehouse square footage to 328,000.

Mother Nature Approved

Martin Bros. received two certificates of recognition from City Carton for our recycling efforts in 2012.

53.29 tons of plastic were recycled, saving 307,700 KW of energy, 36,500 gallons of oil and 1,599 cubic yards of landfill space.

142.04 tons of carboard were recycled, saving 2,415 trees, 994,252 gallons of water, 65,763 gallons of oil and 435 cubic yards of landfill space.

Food Safety Honors

Martin Bros. is a fully compliant HACCP facility. ASI Food Safety Consultants performed our last annual HACCP and sanitation audits on February 8, 2012. We received an ASI score of 93.67% and a HACCP score of 970/1000, giving us a "Very Good" rating overall. We are proud to be one of the top food safe distribution facilities in the nation!

The Martin Bros. Cedar Valley United Way 2012 campaign raised $37,626, which will help to advance the common good in the Cedar Valley by supporting the building blocks of education, income and health in our community.

Martin Bros. received a 2012 Silver ADDY® Award for Concepts Culinary Magazine. Concepts is a monthly resource with recipes, tips and back- and front-of-the-house advice to keep operations successful. It includes extended information about products, recipes, serving suggestions, rebates and vendor resources.

Credit goes to: Jeff Sadler - Designer; Krystle Kettman - Coordinator/Editor; Billy Patton - Photographer; Bill Pendry - Art Director and Megan Zuniga - Marketing Manager.
